Nov 22 2012: Sneak Peek
It's Thanksgiving - you are already in the city to watch the Thanksgiving Parade, so why don't you also come over to LOVE Park with the family for a little Sneak Peek at the Christmas Village? This will be the first day of the market, and you can get some ideas what to give your beloved ones for Christmas and enjoy this special day with us!
Stay warm with a mug of hot gluhwine (mulled winde) and a cup of hot chocolate with some marshmallows on top for the little ones. Santa will be in his little hut to listen to all the Christmas wishes your kids may have - and by the way, they can even take photos with him - isn't this a wonderfull Christmas gift for the grandparents?
The vendors and the Christmas Village Team are looking forward to this very first day of the Village - we can't wait!
Nov 24 2012: Opening Ceremony with the original Christkind from Germany
Just one day after Black Friday the public is invited to join us for our grand opening ceremony in LOVE Park with the original Christkind from Nuremburg. Coming from one of the oldest Christmas Markets in the world, she will give us the honor of speaking her traditional prologue, which she also speaks in Germany at 2:15 p.m.
The Opening Ceremony comes with wonderful performances by a local choir and a marching band, so you can get into the spirit of the holiday season with your friends and family. Don't miss out on our food stands as well, with traditional european food, desserts and drinks, everyone is sure to find something they like.
Make sure to get a photo with the Christkind during her traditional walk of the market. In Germany, she is the person who brings the Christmas gifts to the kids and she won’t be coming empty-handed!
Furthermore we are proud to announce that Liberty USO is teaming up with Christmas Village this year to help spread the Christmas spirit to our troops this holiday season! At at November the 24th Christmas Village will be a drop-off location for this cause and we are asking you to help collect for Operation Stocking Stuffers - for more info click here.

The Christkind will walk over the market after reciting her prologue. Kids, make sure to take a picture with her and get a hard candy out of her gift basket!
Dec 1 & 2 2012: LOVE Weekend
is in the air at the Christmas Village on this special weekend! Grab your beloved ones and come down to LOVE park to get yourself in the right Christmas mood!
Our vendors will bring along a large variety of merchandise related to our motto, “We LOVE Christmas.” We will have handmade ornaments which have written LOVE Park on them, canvas pictures with the LOVE sign and so much more. Of course they will still be offering their unique arts and crafts, ornaments and so on.

Dec 8 & 9 2012: German American Weekend
On Dec 8th and 9th we celebrate our German heritage at The Christmas Village. Since our visitors enjoyed the German Schuhplattler dances and the German choirs in 2011, we decided to bring them back for a little song and dance in 2012.
Make sure to come down to grab one of our delicious German bratwursts and a mug of our hot gluhwine (mulled wine) and enjoy! If you are more into the sweet stuff, our vendors also offer Lebkuchen (gingerbread), Stollen, fresh roasted nuts and crepes.

Dec 15 & 16 2012: Make-A-Wish Fundraiser weekend - presented by OneMain Financial
Most of you might know them, their mission is to "grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy". Every 38 minutes the Make-A-Wish Foundation® grants a wish and we want to help them to share the power of a wish®!
How can you help? Well, there are two ways:
At this weekend we will collect donations both at our info booth and the OneMain Financial booth! All of your monetary donations will be donated 100% to the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Philadelphia and Susquehanna Valley!
Another way would be to buy a heart shaped hanger, write your wish on it and hang it up on our WishWall! We will donate 1$ out of each sale to the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Philadelphia and Susquehanna Valley! If you can not make it at this weekend, we run the fundraising through the whole duration of the market!
Dec 15 2012: Moonlight Shopping
On Dec 15th we will offer you the wonderful experience to explore the Christmas Village at night. Our vendors will be opened until 10 p.m. selling their unique and international arts and crafts, jewelry and ornaments.
Come down to LOVE Park on Dec. 15th and enjoy the Christmas Village scenery with thousands of lights and a cup of hot chocolate to stay warm!

It's almost Christmas and you still don't have the rigth gift for your beloved ones? Come down to the Christmas Village to shop your last minute Christmas gifts! We have over 60 vendors bringing ornaments, art&craft, jewlery and so much more from all over the world - you will surely find the perfect gift!
This will be the last weekend of the Christmas Village in 2012! Make sure to celebrate it with us to get yourselfe into the right Christmas mood!
