We will keep you updated on the website and follow our Social Media Channels (@philachristmas) as we are announcing ahead in case we are planning to close early.
There is plenty of space around the venue in general to leave your bike. As a courtesy to fellow visitors, we kindly ask you to lock your bike nearby before entering the festival venue, even if you are just strolling around.

Feel free to bring your dog! Christmas Village allows dogs in the whole outdoor area and large parts of the indoor tent area (exception: dogs are not allowed in the Käthe Wohlfahrt vending area). Please keep in mind, that the tent area gets pretty crowded on weekend days, which might be uncomfortable for your dog.
Kid Friendly Events
We've got plenty of things planned for the little ones - check our dedicated "Kid Friendly" section to learn more!
Christmas Village is a family friendly event, so make sure to bring the whole family down including the youngest in their strollers! Please note: Strollers are not allowed in the Käthe Wohlfahrt vending tent, so please make sure to park your stroller before entering this German Christmas wonderland!
Lost and Found
Loosing something on a family trip is a bummer but it can happen. Make sure to stop by at the Christmas Village Info Booth to check if your wallet or whatever you’ve lost has been turned in. If not, leave your contact info to make sure we can contact you in case it turns up after you’ve left. A staff member will assist you in dealing with the police if necessary.
Vice versa, be kind and hand in all things you find because a) it’s the decent thing to do, b) it’s Christmas, and c) you know what they say about karma.
Credit Cards/ ATM
Most vendors – but not all - accept credit cards. If you are running low on cash, most mayor banks have locations around the venue with ATMs. Due to this there are no ATMs on the event.
Where to start? We've got all the German goodies: Bratwurst (3 different kinds) with Sauerkraut, Schnitzel with Potato Salad, Leberkäse (German meatloaf), Berlin style Curry Wurst, fresh roasted almonds and German Gingerbread, delicious Gluhwine (mulled wine), a wide assortment of non-alcoholic cold and hot beverages and so much more.
There are also plenty of choices available for vegetarians which include vegetarian Doner, backed cheese on a stick, German Pretzels, Potato Pancakes, Belgian Fries, sweet and savory crepes and waffles, and such.
Our Doner (type of Shawarma) is a halal alternative for you to enjoy.
Check our Food and Beverage vendor section to see the full scope of food which will be offered!
Christmas Village Mugs
If you’ve been to Christmas markets in Germany, you might know the Gluhwine mugs which change their layout every year. Christmas Village in Philadelphia has them, too. Gluhwine is served exclusively in those mugs, for non-alcoholic beverages they are optional.
Other than in Germany, we don’t have a mug return system. Once bought, the mug is yours to take home. They are beautiful and are a great eye catcher in your cupboard!
